David Kennett is a full-time book illustrator and author whose previous books include the six titles in the award-winning natural history series Solo Wildlife, Olympia: Warrior Athletes of Ancient Greece and The Roman Army written by Dyan Blacklock, and Pharaoh: Death and Life of a God. Olympia was the winner of the Eve Pownall Award for Information Books in the 2001 CBCA Book of the Year Awards. In 2003 David was awarded the Centenary of Federation medal for services to Australia through literature. David's latest Omnibus book is Forest of Bones.

Mr. Kennett’s Roman illustrations are not just for kids: well researched and accurate, the adult Roman students out there would like these as well. How about illustrations of the 28 ‘enemies of Rome’ from the end plates in “The Roman Army”?
